The prescription drug boceprevir (VICTRELIS™) is used in combination with peginterferon alfa and ribavirin to treat chronic cases of hepatitis C. Available in the form of a capsule, the medication is taken three times daily, preferably at the same times each day, to keep an even level in the bloodstream. If you have a weakened immune system, blood cell problems (such as anemia), or any allergies, tell your healthcare provider before starting treatment.
