Engerix-B

hepatitis B vaccine) is a vaccine that helps prevent
hepatitis B. It is approved for people of all ages, and is typically given as a series of three or four injections. Your particular dosing schedule will depend on several factors, such as your age, kidney function, and vaccination history.
This vaccine is not made from human fetal components or animal components; instead, it is made using recombinant DNA technology. It works by "tricking" the body into thinking it has been exposed to the
hepatitis B virus. The body produces antibodies that will help fight infection if future exposure occurs. Because Engerix-B is a "live" vaccine, there is no risk of getting hepatitis B from your vaccination.
Some of the common side effects reported with the product include dizziness,
headache, fever, and fatigue. However, most people tolerate the vaccine well. Before getting vaccinated, let your healthcare provider know if you are breastfeeding, pregnant, or thinking of becoming pregnant. Also, tell your healthcare provider if you have
