Hepatitis Home > Sofosbuvir
There is only one standard recommended dose of sofosbuvir. However, the length of treatment will depend on a variety of factors, including:
- Which genotype of hepatitis C virus you have
- Which other hepatitis C medications you are taking
- Whether you are awaiting a liver transplant.
As is always the case, do not adjust your dosage unless your healthcare provider specifically tells you to do so.
(Click Sofosbuvir Dosage for more information.)
Sofosbuvir may react with a number of other medicines (see Drug Interactions With Sofosbuvir).
At this time, it is not entirely clear what to expect with an overdose. If you take too much of this medication, seek immediate medical attention.

This medication should be stored at room temperature, protected from heat, light, and moisture. Your pharmacist should dispense (and you should store) this medication in the original manufacturer's bottle.
Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children.
If you do not take your sofosbuvir as scheduled, take your missed dose as soon as you remember. However, do not take more than one tablet per day (this may mean skipping a dose, if you do not notice a missed dose until the next day).
