Drug Interactions With Telaprevir

If certain medications are taken together with telaprevir, there is a possibility for drug interactions. Some of these reactions can make the medications less effective or increase your risk for side effects. Calcium channel blockers, hormonal birth control pills, and certain antibiotics are among the medications that can react with telaprevir.

An Overview of Telaprevir Interactions

Telaprevir (INCIVEK®) may react with a number of other medications. Some of the drugs that can lead to interactions with telaprevir include but are not limited to:

  • CYP 3A4 inducer medications, such as:
