By blocking the action of certain enzymes in the body, telaprevir (INCIVEK®) can treat hepatitis C infections in adults. This prescription medication is only approved for use in combination with other hepatitis C medications. It comes in the form of a tablet that is taken 3 times daily for 12 weeks. Before taking the medication, you should talk to your healthcare provider if you have certain health conditions, such as gout, anemia, or a weakened immune system.
